Purpose

The Indian Health Grant Program helps eligible applicants establish, operate, or subsidize clinic facilities and services to offer health services to American Indians who live off reservations.

Funding will serve American Indian people that reside off reservations in both rural and urban areas being served by clinics that provide preventive, medical, dental, and/or mental healthcare. Clinics may provide one or more of these services and are not required to provide all.

Priority points will be awarded if the applicant is either a tribal nation or an organization that was created for and specifically focused on serving American Indians.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include tribal nations and nonprofit entities providing clinical health services to American Indian people that reside off reservations, with preference given to tribal nations and nonprofit organizations that were created for and specifically focused on serving American Indians.
