Purpose

The Kansas Bridging Plan offers loan forgiveness to resident physicians working in primary care and psychiatry who agree to a 3 year service contract to work in rural areas of Kansas.

Eligibility

Eligible Kansas resident programs include:

  • Family medicine
  • Internal medicine
  • Pediatrics
  • Emergency medicine
  • Psychiatry
  • Child Psychiatry

Amount of funding

The combined loan total can be up to $26,000, and loans are forgiven at the completion of the service contract.
