Purpose

The Flex program will provide funding for Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in rural North Dakota for the following financial and operational improvement areas of choice:

  • Coding and billing chart audit
  • Chargemaster review
  • Chargemaster scrub
  • 340B external audit
  • Revenue cycle management
  • Service line assessment
  • Cost report strategy/compliance review
  • Other approved cost report strategies or compliance reviews

Only one activity/area of focus may be selected per application.

Eligibility

All North Dakota Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) and CAH-owned Rural Health Clinics are eligible to apply. A CAH may submit more than one application; however, it may only have one active subcontract for each area of focus.
