The Rural Collaborative Opportunities for Occupational Learning in Health (R-COOL-Health) Scrubs Camp is focused on rural students in grades 5-12. The program offers funding for organizations to provide creative and interactive day-camp activities designed to increase awareness, interest, and understanding of healthcare careers available in rural North Dakota.
All camps must be completed and funds expended by April 30, 2024.
Eligible applicants are rural North Dakota K-12 schools and healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, clinics, community health centers, long-term care facilities, and public health units.
Applicants are required to actively involve each of the following:- Local/regional K-12 school system(s)
- Healthcare entities and/or facilities
- Local economic development and/or local job development authorities
Up to $2,500. A total of $25,000 is available.
Funding will be provided on a cost reimbursement basis.
