Indian Health Service
The Pre-Graduate Scholarship Program provides financial
support for American Indian and Alaska Native (federally
or state-recognized) students to enroll in courses
leading to a bachelor's degree in specific
pre-professional areas, such as pre-medicine,
pre-dentistry, pre-podiatry, and other subjects needed by
the Indian health programs. There is no service
requirement attached to the scholarship.

Amount of funding
Support covers tuition and required fees for health
profession courses and additional educational and living
expenses for up to 4 years.
Scholarship recipients are also eligible to request
funding for summer courses. Funding for summer courses
must be requested annually no later than April 22.
