Purpose

Whole Foods Market Garden Grant Program offers funding for the planning, construction, and operation of edible garden projects for K-12 schools and nonprofit organizations that engage children in grades K-12.

Priority is given to applicants who serve a majority of students who are under-resourced.

Eligibility

Applications will be accepted from:

  • Charter and public schools
  • Tribally controlled and Bureau of Indian Education schools
  • Nonprofit private schools
  • School districts
  • Nonprofit organizations supporting a garden at a public or private school

Applicants must:

  • Have or plan to have a garden located at a school
  • Engage at least 10, K-12 children on a regular basis in garden programming
  • Be growing edible plants
  • Be located in the United States, territories, or Canada
