Purpose

The American Indian College Fund provides scholarships for American Indian, Alaska Native, and Indigenous Canadian students seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees at Tribal colleges and universities and nonprofit, accredited schools in the United States.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are U.S. citizens and Canadians eligible to attend college in the United States under provisions of the Jay Treaty. Applicants must also be registered as an enrolled member of a federal or state recognized tribe, or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member. Alaska Natives may use Native Corporation membership.

Application process

Applications are accepted every year from January 1 to May 31. A link to the online application process is available on the program website.
