New York Primary Care Service Corps Loan Repayment Program

The New York Primary Care Service Corps (PCSC) Loan Repayment Program offers loan repayment assistance to healthcare professionals who agree to practice at an active National Health Service Corps (NHSC) with a Health Professional Shortage Area with a score of 1 or more for the applicant's professional discipline in New York. Awardees must agree to a 3-year service obligation.
Eligible professions include:
- Dentists
- Dental hygienists
- Nurse practitioners
- Physician assistants
- Certified nurse midwives
- Clinical psychologists
- Licensed clinical social workers
- Licensed marriage and family therapists
- Licensed mental health counselors
Eligibility requirements:
- Citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien holding an I-155 or I-551 card
- Began employment at the intended worksite on or before July 1, 2026
- Complete an employment letter
- Be licensed to practice in New York State at the time of application
- Up to $72,000 for dentists
- Up to $54,000 for primary care clinicians, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurse midwives
- Up to $36,000 for clinical psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed mental health counselors, and registered dental hygienists
Awards may not exceed the amount of an individual's qualifying educational debt.
A total of $504,990 is available.
