Vermont Educational Loan Repayment Program for Nurses (LPNs and RNs)
The Vermont Educational Loan Repayment Program for Nurses provides loan repayment for licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs) working in shortage areas in the state of Vermont.
Awards go directly to pay educational loans. Recipients must agree to a 1-year service obligation for LPNs and a 1-2 year obligation for RNs.
Applicants must be United States citizens or nationals that live and work in Vermont as an RN or LPN.
Current educational loan debt must exceed $10,000. Awards may range from $5,000-$10,000 per year for full-time practitioners and $2,500-$5,000 per year for half-time practitioners.
Employer match is voluntary; but required for 2-year awards/service commitments (available to RNs only).Links to additional guidance and the online application are available on the program website.
