The Arkansas State 30 J-1 Visa Waiver Program offers a J-1 visa waiver to foreign physicians who commit to work 3 years in an approved area of Arkansas, waiving the foreign medical residency requirement and allowing them to remain in the United States. The program is intended to provide physician services in areas that typically have difficulty attracting and retaining physicians.
Primary care physicians and all physician specialties that deliver direct patient care are eligible.
This is an incentive program that offers foreign physicians a visa waiver, allowing them to work in the U.S.

Applications open on October 1st of each year, and priority is given to those received by October 10th. A second application period is open between October 11th and December 30th. The final submission date for each placement year is September 15 during which applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
