Joseph Tucker

The Nevada Conrad 30 J-1 Visa Waiver Program offers a J-1 Visa waiver to foreign physicians who commit to serving for 3 years in an underserved area of Nevada, waiving the foreign medical residency requirement and allowing them to remain in the United States. The program is intended to provide physician services in areas that typically have difficulty attracting and retaining physicians.

Primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and sub-specialty trained physicians are eligible to apply.

Geographic coverage
Amount of funding

This is an incentive program that offers foreign physicians a visa waiver, allowing them to work in the U.S.

An application fee, between $500-$1,400, paid equally by the employer and the J-1 physician is required at the time of the application. The application fee schedule may be found in the application instructions. If the application fee causes a hardship to the physician, the physician's portion of the fee may be waived or accepted in partial payments.
