The Nevada Health Service Corps offers loan repayment assistance to certain healthcare professionals who agree to practice in an approved area of Nevada. Applicants must practice for a period of 2 years.
Eligible professions include:
- Physicians (MD, DO)
- Physician assistants (PA)
- Registered nurses (RN)
- Nurse practitioner (NP)
- General and pediatric dentists (DDS, DMD)
- Dental therapist (DT)
- Certified nurse midwives (CNM)
- Pharmacists (Pharm)
- Marriage and family therapists (MFT)
- Health service psychologists (PhD)
- Licensed clinical social workers (LCSW)
- Licensed alcohol and substance abuse counselors (LADAC)
- Licensed professional counselors (LPC)
- Psychiatric nurse specialists (PNS)
- Registered clinical dental hygienists (RDH)
- Health service psychologist (HSP)
- Registered dietitian (RD)
Up to $75,000 for primary care providers and $50,000 for dental and mental health providers for a 2 year commitment. Renewal may be available for up to half of the initial award amount per one-year renewal term, based on discipline. Renewal is not guaranteed and is considered after new applicants.

Applications are accepted and evaluated between July 1st and August 31st annually.
