Purpose

The Alabama Power Foundation offers grants to nonprofit organizations in Alabama working in 1 of the following areas:

  • Educational advancement
  • Civic and community development
  • Arts and cultural enrichment
  • Health and human services
  • Environmental stewardship

Awards have been made in rural areas of the state.

Eligibility

Organizations must have 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.

While grants amounts have been up to $100,000, historically most have been under $5,000.
