The Maryland Loan Assistance and Repayment Programs offer loan repayment assistance to primary care physicians, physician assistants, and medical residents specializing in primary care who agree to practice in an underserved area of Maryland.

Applicants must agree to a full-time practice obligation for 2 years.


Physicians, physician assistants, and medical residents in primary care fields may apply.

Geographic coverage
Amount of funding

Up to $50,000 per year for a 2 year service commitment, with a maximum of $200,000 for 4 years of service.
