Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation Grants
The Stephen and Tabitha King (STK) Foundation provides grants for projects in Maine that address the underlying causes and consequences of social and environmental problems. Giving priorities include health and human services, literacy, arts, and projects that will affect the most members of a community.
Historically, the Foundation has provided funding for organizations in all counties in Maine, both rural and urban areas.
Past grants have included:
- Municipal and volunteer public safety projects
- Oral health outreach
- Hospitals
- Disaster relief
- Services for homeless individuals
In 2026, the Foundation is having a limited application cycle for libraries and public safety organizations for project support, capital projects, critical equipment, or capacity building projects.
There is a preference for areas of the state that have fewer access to financial resources.
Eligible applicants in Maine include:
- Libraries
- Public safety organizations
Up to $50,000
