Purpose

The Wisconsin Champion of Change Award is designed to encourage and share ideas for organizational change that have made a difference for rural healthcare in Wisconsin. Organizational changes must have been suggested and implemented by a team or individual employed by a Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative (RWHC) member hospital. Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Services that increase access in rural communities
  • Enhancements to current revenue streams
  • Strategies that reduce the cost of healthcare
  • Changes to staffing and recruitment initiatives

Facility CEOs are invited to nominate an employee or a team of employees that have implemented a successful organizational change idea in the last calendar year.

Eligibility

All employees of RWHC voting members are eligible except the CEO and the executive team.

Amount of funding

One first place award will be given in the amount of $1,500.

Two honorable mentions will be awarded at $500 each.
