Purpose

The Bank of North Dakota Infrastructure Revolving Loan Fund provides financing to political subdivisions for repair, replacement, and new infrastructure projects.

Funds may be used for:

  • Water or wastewater treatment plants
  • Sewer, storm sewer, and water lines
  • Transportation infrastructure
  • Communications infrastructure
  • Emergency services facilities, excluding hospitals
  • Other infrastructure needs
Eligibility

Political subdivisions in North Dakota are eligible to apply.

To qualify, the community must access other state and federal government funding options first. This loan may be used to provide gap funding if the full project cost cannot be met through other funding sources or if there are no other funding sources available.

Amount of funding

Cumulative loan amounts may not exceed $20,000,000 per applicant.

Interest is a 2.00% fixed rate for a financing period not to exceed 30 years. The borrower is responsible for all closing costs associated with the loan.
