The Older Adults Home Modification Grant Program will provide funding to make home modifications and limited repairs to meet the needs of low-income older adult homeowners. The overall program goal is enabling older adults to remain in their homes by reducing fall risk, improving general safety, increasing accessibility, and improving functional abilities in the home.
Eligible applicants include city, county, state, and special district governments, public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, and nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status (other than institutions of higher education).

At least one third of the funding is set aside for communities with substantial rural populations.
