NRHA Rural Hospital CNO Certification Program

The Center for Rural Health Leadership provides a leadership and certification program for current Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs) of rural hospitals.
The curriculum includes:
- Inter-personal leadership
- Intra-personal leadership
- Organizational leadership
- Community leadership
- Data analytics and predictive analysis
- Working with the Board and strategic planning
- Lean management
- Budgeting for clinicians
- Cost report 101
- Population health
- Physician engagement
The program is designed for current rural hospital CNOs and individuals who are interested in becoming rural hospital CNOs in the future.
