Purpose

The Community Response Fund provides one-time grants for small nonprofit organizations in Colorado to meet an urgent need that would have an immediate impact on an organization's capacity to serve older adults. Requests must demonstrate alignment with priority populations that includes rural residents as well as priority areas of addressing ageism, digital equity, and supporting aging in place.

Past project examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Emergency stopgap to continue hot meals for rural older adults
  • Facility and equipment repairs
  • Vehicle repairs
  • Temporary staffing for surge capacity
Eligibility

Eligible applicants are Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit entities and organizations with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Applicants must have an organizational budget of $1,000,000 or less and serve adults 50 and older.
