Purpose

The Rural Health Careers Camp is an educational program in Rockford, Illinois for students interested in rural healthcare fields. The 2024 camp will take place June 24-26, 2024 at a facility in the northern Illinois area to be determined.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are rural Illinois high school students who are interested in a healthcare career.

Preference goes to underclassmen and incoming freshman students from the following counties:

  • Carroll
  • DeKalb
  • Henderson
  • Henry
  • Jo Daviess
  • Knox
  • LaSalle
  • Lee
  • Mercer
  • Ogle
  • Putnam
  • Rock Island
  • Stark
  • Stephenson
  • Warren
  • Whiteside
  • Winnebago

Amount of funding

There is a $100 fee to attend. Up to 50 students will be selected to participate.
