Purpose

The American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Native American Child Health presents the Native American Child Health Advocacy Award each year to recognize an individual who has made a major contribution to promoting Native American child health.

Eligibility

Eligible recipients are physicians and non-physicians who have made a major contribution to Native American child health and exemplifies a lifelong commitment, equal to or greater than 10 years of service, to Native American children and their communities.

Nominations from a spouse, partner, or family member are not permitted.

These awards are honorary.

Application process

Complete the online nomination form. Nominations received after July 10, 2026 will be considered for the next year's award.
