Vet Center Scholarship Program

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will provide
scholarships for specific behavioral/mental health
professional students. Recipients agree to a 6 year
service obligation at a Vet Center Readjustment
Counseling Service site.
Applicants from rural, tribal, and other underserved
communities are encouraged.
Applicants must be currently enrolled or be accepted for
full-time enrollment in an accredited academic program
that will qualify for employment in one of the
professional fields associated with the scholarship
Eligible fields include:
- Social Worker (MSW)
- Psychologist (PhD)
- Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselors
- Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT)
Amount of funding
Scholarship recipients will receive:
- 100% of tuition and required fees
- $1,200 per month stipend
- A stipend to help cover books and supplies
