Funding for a single entity to serve as a Center of Excellence (CoE) to advance behavioral health equity for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AIAN) in both reservations and urban communities.
The recipient is expected to:
- Develop and disseminate culturally-informed, evidence-based behavioral health information
- Provide technical assistance and training on issues related to addressing behavioral health disparities in AIAN communities
A detailed list of required activities is provided in the application instructions.
Eligible applicants include:
- States
- Political subdivisions of states
- Tribes
- Tribal organizations
- Health facilities
- Programs operated by or in accordance with a contract with the Indian Health Service
- Other public or private nonprofit entities
Award ceiling: $1,500,000 per year
Project period: 5 years
