Purpose

The Wisconsin Office of Rural Health provides loan repayment assistance for primary care physicians and psychiatrists practicing in an outpatient setting in a rural community in Wisconsin.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are primary care physicians and psychiatrists practicing in an outpatient setting in a rural community in Wisconsin.

Up to $50,000

Providers are limited to two Wisconsin Loan Assistance Program awards during their career.

Employers must also complete an online form and attach a policy for accommodating patients unable to pay full price for services, as well as a letter detailing a commitment to retain the applicant as an employee.
