The South Central Public Health Training Center offers a virtual leadership program designed for mid-career practitioners and emerging leaders in Public Health Region 6.
The R6-PHLI consists of 16 synchronous sessions that last around 3 hours. Between sessions, participants are asked to complete homework that will take about 3 additional hours. See the format and schedule section of the program website.
Applications from individuals in all areas of public health, community health, and healthcare are encouraged. Midcareer professionals with 5 years of professional experience at local, county, state or tribal health departments, community healthcare clinics, public health organizations serving underserved populations, and community health workers are candidates for the Leadership Institute.
There is no fee for selected applicants to attend the program.
