Purpose

The American Osteopathic Foundation (AOF) will provide grants to qualified nonprofit health centers for providing healthcare to disadvantaged communities and populations. Projects that seek to launch a new program or initiative or incorporate a new or innovative practice into an existing program will receive preference.

Projects should:

  • Directly benefit patients, address a critical need, be able to measure impact, and align with the Foundation's strategic initiatives
  • Serve and treat a significant number of disadvantaged people and/or people in serious need of healthcare
  • Seek to provide measurable improvements to patient health and quality of life
Eligibility

Eligible applicants are nonprofit health organizations registered in the United States, with a DO directly and actively involved in the operation and evaluation of the program.

The organization should have a history of treating patients for a minimum of 1 year and be committed to osteopathic philosophy and principles in patient care.

Applications from rural communities are encouraged.

Application process

Submit a letter of inquiry through the online portal between August 14 - October 16, 2023. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
