Purpose

The Georgia Nurse Faculty Loan Repayment Program (NFLRP) provides student loan debt assistance for University System of Georgia nursing faculty. Recipients must agree to commit to 2 years of service within the University System.

Eligibility

Applicants must have a masters or PhD degree in nursing and have fulfilled all requirements for professional nurse licensure by the Georgia Board of Nursing.

Applicants must also be currently employed and have been employed for 1 year as faculty in the University System of Georgia or the Technical College System of Georgia in a position that requires an advanced degree in professional nursing.

The lesser of 50% of the outstanding student loan balance or $25,000 over 2 years.
