Purpose

The Native American Summer Research Internship (NARI) is a full-time, 10-week paid summer research opportunity at the University of Utah. The internship goal is to support the academic, career, personal development, and cultural engagement of Native American and Alaskan Native (NA/AN) students who are interested in health science and biomedical careers.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are Native American and Alaskan Native (NA/AN) undergraduate junior and senior students who are interested in health science research and rural health. Students must be U.S. citizens.

Participants will receive housing and a stipend of up to $5,500.
