Purpose

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is offering training opportunities designed to help healthcare teams enhance communication, manage challenges more collaboratively, and effectively implement TeamSTEPPS to improve patient care. Team Strategies & Tools to Enhance Performance & Patient Safety (TeamSTEPPS) is an evidence-based set of teamwork tools, aimed at optimizing patient outcomes by improving communication and teamwork skills among healthcare teams, including patients and family caregivers.

Curriculum modules include:

  • Communication
  • Team leadership
  • Situation monitoring
  • Mutual support
  • Implementation of TeamSTEPPS 3.0
