Minnesota Alzheimer's Awareness Grants
Minnesota Alzheimer's Awareness Grants offer funding to develop and implement public information campaigns to provide awareness of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) in Minnesota. Populations of focus include small towns, rural communities, people with disabilities, and other populations across greater Minnesota that have a prevalence of dementia risk factors.
Funded campaigns should:
- Promote the benefits of early detection and the importance of discussing cognition with a healthcare provider
- Outline the benefits of cognitive testing, the early warning signs of cognitive impairment, and the difference between normal cognitive aging and dementia
- Provide awareness of ADRD
Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to:
- Community-based organizations
- Tribal organizations
- Nonprofit organizations
- Faith-based organizations
- Social service organizations
- Clinics and healthcare organizations
- Community Coalitions
Award ceiling: $160,000
Award floor: $40,000
Project period: 15 months
Estimated number of awards: Up to 4
