Purpose

The Build Dakota Scholarship Fund offers scholarships for technical degrees in South Dakota technical colleges. Healthcare-related programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Dental assisting
  • Dental hygiene
  • Nursing
  • Medical assisting
  • Paramedic
  • Medical lab technician
  • Surgical technology
  • Radiologic technology
  • Sonography

See the full list of eligible healthcare programs. Scholarship recipients commit to working in South Dakota in their field of study for 3 years following graduation.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are students enrolled at a participating technical college in a participating program. See the full list of participating programs.

The scholarship covers tuition, fees, and other expenses in eligible programs.

Interested applicants should first apply for admissions at the technical college they are interested in then find the Build Dakota Scholarship application for that technical college.
