Tennessee Healthy Built Environment Grants

Provides funding for built environment projects to advance community health and resilience, especially for underserved populations. Eligible projects include but are not limited to playgrounds, walking tracks, outdoor fitness stations, greenways, trails, community facilities, and other publicly accessible spaces to promote physical activity, access to healthy food, and social interaction.
Proposals are accepted for projects at varying stages of development, including convening, assessment, planning, infrastructure design, and construction.
Eligible applicants include Tennessee local and state government entities, tribes, and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
Funding amounts for Phase A projects are as follows:
- $2,000 for convening projects
- $20,000 for assessment projects
- $50,000 for planning projects
Grants of up to $80,000 are available for Phase B infrastructure design and construction projects
Project period: 2 years
