Montana Healthcare Foundation (MTHF) is offering grants to organizations located in the rural Montana community they serve. The program is designed as a low barrier opportunity to support rural organizations that may have difficulty competing for larger grants. Proposals can address any health-related issue affecting the community, such as, mental health, housing, food, child or elder care, public health, or cultural connection.
Applicants must be Montana-based. Eligible organizations include:
- Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations
- Tax-exempt educational institutions
- State, tribal, and local government agencies
Organizations must be located in a rural area, defined as any community outside the cities of Billings, Missoula, Bozeman, Great Falls, Kalispell, Helena, and Butte.
Priority may be given to:
- Organizations that are not under the network of a larger entity
- Smaller communities and those located in particularly remote areas of the state.
- Communities in which MTHF has provided relatively little funding to date
Up to $10,000 for a 1 year project period
A link to the application instructions is available on the program website.
