Purpose

The Georgia State Office of Rural Health is offering funding to establish a Remote Critical Services (RCCS) program, intended to provide continuous monitoring and real-time access to critical care specialists for patients admitted to intensive care units in rural hospitals.

Funds will be awarded in 2 tracks.

  • Track 1 - Continuation of current remote critical care services
    • Contracted services
    • Equipment and infrastructure
    • Program administration
    • Staff education
  • Track 2 - Establish new remote critical care services
    • Program implementation and administration
    • Equipment and infrastructure
    • Contracted services
    • Marketing and community engagement
    • Staff education
Eligibility

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be located in designated rural counties in Georgia or in a county with a Critical Access Hospital
  • Be in good standing to conduct business with Georgia Department of Community Health and Georgia State Office of Rural Health
  • Be listed on the Rural Hospital Tax Credit (RHTC) 2026 Ranking of Financial Need
