Purpose

This opportunity is an open call for projects that serve rural Oregon and fit within the Roundhouse Foundation program priorities.

Priorities include:

  • Social services
  • Education
  • Arts and culture
  • Environmental stewardship
  • Strategic initiatives:
    • Rural access to healthcare
    • Career and technical education
    • Childcare and early childhood education
    • Art and culture for mental health
    • Community resilience and disaster relief
    • Community food systems
    • Firearm suicide prevention
    • Firearm violence prevention
    • Rural journalism and authentic storytelling
Eligibility

Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government entities (including special districts), and tribal governments serving rural Oregon.

Organizations may submit one open call proposal per calendar year, as long as they have no other open grants with the Roundhouse Foundation.

Award ceiling: Up to $30,000 with the median award being $20,000
Project period: 12-18 months
