Purpose

Florida Blue Foundation aims to address various barriers that women face in accessing affordable, high-quality maternal healthcare services and support in Florida with the goal to ensure that every mother and infant receives quality care throughout each stage of pregnancy and beyond. This is achieved through focus on two key areas:

  • Improving maternal health outcomes for chronic conditions: Increasing access to quality care, care coordination, and evidence-informed programming from pregnancy through the first year postpartum
  • Perinatal and postpartum maternal mental health support: Addressing issues such as perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, toxic stress, postpartum depression, trauma-related symptoms, and other mental health challenges through a range of services and interventions tailored to address the unique mental health needs of perinatal and postpartum women
Eligibility

Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, public agencies, universities and colleges, training centers, community centers, schools, healthcare facilities, faith-based institutions, youth-serving organizations, and others that:

  • Are incorporated or located in Florida and serve Floridians
  • Have the capacity, expertise, resources, knowledge, and track record of success to carry out the intent of the program
  • Have expertise with the targeted populations
  • Have expertise in developing programs and materials
  • Have been in operation for at least 3 years since receiving a 501(c)(3) designation

Special consideration is given to organizations that provide services to Florida's rural counties and/or the following ZIP codes: 32206, 32805, 33612/33613, 33142, and 33311.
