Purpose

This opportunity offers loan repayment assistance for primary care professionals in Florida. FRAME Awardees are required to provide 25 hours of volunteer service annually in an approved clinic or community service project.

Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Hold a clear/active Florida license to practice
  • Accept Medicaid if eligible
  • Be actively employed providing primary care services in an eligible practice location within a Primary Care Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) designated by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), or at a Rural Hospital certified by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
  • Provide face-to-face direct patient care
  • Be a U.S. citizen or national
  • Have a qualified student loan

  • Physicians
    • Obstetrics
    • Gynecology
    • General and family practice
    • General internal medicine
    • Geriatrics
    • General pediatrics
  • Registered nurses (RNs)
  • Licensed practical nurses (LPNs)
  • Autonomous advanced practice registered nurses (AAPRNs)
  • Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs)
  • Physician assistants (PAs)

Maximum awards over a 4-year eligibility period:

  • Physicians - $150,000
  • Autonomous advanced practice registered nurses (AAPRN) - $90,000
  • Physician assistants (PA) and advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) - $75,000
  • Licensed practical nurses (LPN)/registered rurses (RN) - $45,000
