The Tennessee Behavioral Health Pathways Scholarship offers tuition assistance for students in Tennessee who are pursuing master's degrees in behavioral health. In exchange for tuition assistance, scholarship recipients will commit to working at a state-funded, grant-contracted treatment agency that serves Tennesseans with the greatest needs and the least ability to pay. The scholarship recipient must work at one of these agencies for the same duration of time as the tuition assistance was received.

Applicants must:

• Be a United States citizen or otherwise lawfully present in the United States
• Be a Tennessee resident seeking a master's degree in counseling, psychiatric nursing, social work, psychology, or similar behavioral health profession
• Be enrolled or in the process of enrolling in an accredited higher education institution in Tennessee
• Demonstrate an interest in substance use disorder treatment and recovery services, and/or mental health treatment and supports
• Be committed to supporting Tennessee's behavioral health system
• Commit to working at a Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services contracted community agency or Opioid Abatement Council-funded community behavioral health agency upon graduation

$15,000 per academic year for up to 2 years, with a maximum of $30,000
