Schedule time with a program officer

Rasmuson Foundation Tier 2 Grants support capital projects, programs of strategic importance, and innovative solutions to issues of community or statewide significance in Alaska.

Project examples:

• Construction, renovation, and furnishings
• Large-scale creative works
• Buildings, equipment, and vehicles
• Historic preservation
• Pilot projects or program expansion
• Some types of match funding

Eligible organizations actively working in Alaska include:

• Nonprofit organizations that have 501(c)(3) IRS status at least one year prior to the date of application and have completed at least one fiscal year of financials
• Local governments
• Tribal governments
• Faith-based organizations if the project has broad community impact

Awards are above $35,000.

Tier 1 grants are smaller grants under $35,000 for smaller capital projects and investments.

Potential applicants should schedule time with a program officer prior to submitting a letter of inquiry. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
