Purpose

The purpose of the Women's Initiative for Screening and Health (WISH) is to improve women's health across the lifespan by increasing access to and availability of preventive health services. Through a multidisciplinary coalition of healthcare providers, academic institutions, and patient-centered organizations, WISH drives a comprehensive strategy to:

  • Review and recommend evidence-based updates to the HRSA-supported Women's Preventive Services Guidelines
  • Raise awareness and knowledge of the guidelines among the general public with a focus on communities with limited access to preventive health services
  • Increase clinicians' use of the guidelines in standard clinical practice

Program requirements and expectations:

  • Convene a multidisciplinary group of preventive service stakeholders
  • Conduct evidence reviews and develop and provide to HRSA a report with recommended updates to the guidelines
  • Disseminate information on the guidelines tailored to those in communities with limited access to preventive health services

A detailed description of expectations is provided in the application instructions.

Applicants may also apply for one or more supplemental funding opportunities. Supplemental awards are subject to the availability of funds and satisfactory recipient performance.
