Youth Healing to Wellness Courts (Purpose Area 8): Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS) Inactive
Funding for federally recognized tribes to develop and implement healing to wellness court programs that focus on helping tribal youth with substance use disorders achieve sustained recovery and avoid re-offending. Youth Healing to Wellness Courts use a team approach that includes judges, attorneys, probation, law enforcement, treatment providers, educational and vocational services, and other partners to provide judicial supervision, substance use treatment, case management, drug testing, and graduated incentives and sanctions.

Program that engages adults age 55 and over to provide companionship and support to other adults in need of extra assistance to remain at home or in the community for as long as possible. Volunteers provide companionship to ease loneliness and social isolation, assisting with transportation and light chores, helping to serve as eyes and ears to professionals who can intervene in the case of medical or other deterioration on the part of the clients, and giving support to informal caregivers.
