Grants to nonprofits to meet the oral health needs of Colorado communities in the areas of prevention and access to care. The goal is to address oral health disparities and improve the long-term oral health of Colorado residents.

Women and Minorities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Fields Program Inactive
Grants to support research and extension activities that increase the number of women and underrepresented minorities from rural areas who will pursue and complete a postsecondary degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The target audience is K-14 students, meaning kindergarten through twelfth grade plus two years of post-secondary schooling, such as vocational technical institutions and community/junior colleges. Projects should focus on challenges facing agriculture and rural communities, such as increasing global demand for food production in the face of limited natural resources; improving health and reducing obesity; and increasing economic opportunities.

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Utilizing Telemedicine or Other Remote-Based Platforms to Develop and Support Treatments for Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) Inactive
Notice of Special Interest for research to evaluate the safety and efficacy of telemedicine or remotely provided treatments for SUD, and to develop tools for remote collection of data in clinical trials of treatments for SUD. Administration for Community Living Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) Phase I Inactive
Funding for research and/or development that improves the abilities of individuals with disabilities to perform activities of their choice in the community, with an emphasis on community living and participation, health and function, and employment. The program places particular emphasis on helping women, socially/economically disadvantaged individuals, and applicants from underrepresented or rural areas compete in the Small Business Innovation Research program.

Healthy Start: Eliminating Disparities in Perinatal Health Inactive

Funding for early childhood wraparound services to support relevant skill building among adults who work with infants, young children, expectant parents, new parents, and caregivers. Funding will focus on home visiting services and child-specific clinical consultation services for adults that work closely with infants and children with emotional and behavioral health needs on an individual basis. Rural communities and other disparity populations are a program priority.

Healthy Start Initiative - Enhanced Inactive
Grants to improve health outcomes before, during, and after pregnancy and reduce the racial/ethnic differences in rates of infant death and adverse perinatal outcomes. The program priority is diverse communities and populations, such as non-Hispanic Black, American Indian/Alaska Native, and rural areas that are experiencing the greatest disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes.
