There is also the opportunity to apply for additional funding for the optional Nutrition Workforce Equity enhancement. Programs should implement a curricula that provides nutrition-focused clinical preparation in multiple settings emphasizing integration of MCH nutrition services and expanding the reach of MCH nutrition services in rural and underserved areas.

Funding to improve maternal health and reduce racial and ethnic maternal health disparities by supporting health centers in developing and piloting innovative, patient-centered, scalable models of care delivery. Projects should address the clinical and health-related social needs of health center patients at highest risk of maternal morbidity and mortality. Priority populations are women of color and those in rural and underserved areas.
