Financial investment, technical assistance, and other resources to advance clean energy demonstrations and energy solutions in rural and remote areas that can be replicated and scaled. One of the program metrics is Improved environmental performance from energy generation to support public health which is measured through positive changes in air quality index (AQI), total dissolved solids (TDS), streamflow, and aquifer hydraulic head as a result of the project.

Environmental Justice Government-to-Government Program (EJG2G) Inactive
Competition to support projects that transform overburdened and underserved communities into healthy, thriving communities capable of addressing the environmental and public health challenges they have historically faced. Projects addressing climate change, disaster resiliency, and/or emergency preparedness and projects in rural/tribal areas will be given priority.

Supporting the Management of Substance Use Disorders in Primary Care and other Ambulatory Settings (R18) Inactive
Funding to develop and test strategies to improve the capacity of primary care and ambulatory care settings to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care for people who misuse opioids and other substances. Priority populations include inner city, rural, low income, minority, women, children, and elderly, among others.

Utilizing Social Media to Increase COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence Across Indian Country Inactive
Funding for tribal governments, tribal health departments, and tribal healthcare facilities/health systems to address COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. Awardees will develop and disseminate vaccine hesitancy materials.

Advanced Nursing Education Nurse Practitioner Residency and Fellowship Program (ANE-NPRF) Inactive
Funding to support transition to practice through the establishment, expansion and/or enhancement of existing community-based nurse practitioner residency and fellowship training programs that are accredited or in the accreditation process. Awardees must train postgraduate APRNs who will serve in primary care settings with a focus on improving access to quality healthcare for rural, urban, and tribal underserved populations.

Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health Inactive
Grants for projects designed to improve health, prevent chronic diseases, and reduce health disparities among racial and ethnic populations with the highest risk, or burden, of chronic disease, specifically for African Americans/Blacks, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islanders, American Indians, and Alaska Natives.

Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving Cooperative Agreement Program Inactive
Funding to support community-based organizations to use the EPA Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving Model to develop and implement community-driven solutions that address environmental and/or public health issues for underserved communities. Special consideration will be given to projects located in rural areas.

Advanced Nursing Education Workforce (ANEW) Program Inactive
Grants to support innovative academic-practice partnerships to prepare primary care advanced practice registered nursing students to practice in rural and underserved settings through academic and clinical training.

AmeriCorps Seniors Native Nations and Indigenous Elders Senior Demonstration Program Inactive
Funding for projects that engage adults ages 55 and older in volunteerism in underserved indigenous and native communities. Program priorities include public health, climate, the environment, education, and economic opportunity.

North Carolina Small Rural Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) Grant Inactive
