Regional Partnership Grants to Increase the Well-Being of, and to Improve the Permanency Outcomes for, Children and Families Affected By Opioids and Other Substance Abuse Inactive
Funding for collaborative regional partnerships that provide activities and services designed to increase the well-being of, improve permanency outcomes for, and enhance the safety of children who are in, or at risk of, an out-of-home placement as a result of a parent's or caregiver's opioid or other substance abuse.

Cancer Control Research in Persistent Poverty Areas (U54 Clinical Trial Optional) Inactive
Funding for the development of U54 Specialized Research Centers that consist of transdisciplinary, collaborative teams of institutions, clinics, communities, and tribes. Centers will provide support to early career investigators and develop a cancer prevention and control research program that focuses on, and serves, populations living in persistent poverty areas. Preference will be given to applications that include rural persistent poverty census tracts within the scope of their research.

The program is designed to build capacity of organizations to offer prevention and intervention services for Alaska native youth to reduce juvenile delinquency, incarceration, substance use, suicide, expulsion or dropout from school, and other challenges.

Native American Business Development Institute Grant Inactive
Technical assistance grants for federally recognized tribes and tribal organizations to explore economic development opportunities through feasibility studies and business plans. The program goal is recovery from and adaptation to the challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tribal Opioid Response Grants Inactive
Grants to address the opioid crisis in tribal communities by increasing access to medication-assisted treatment and supporting a full range of culturally appropriate prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery support services. Funds may also be used to address stimulant misuse and use disorders, including cocaine and methamphetamine.

Native American Elder Justice Initiative (NAEJI) Inactive
Funding to operate a national center that addresses the need for culturally appropriate information and community education materials on elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation in Native American/Alaska Native communities. Activities include developing culturally specific materials for tribes, gathering and disseminating information on best practices, and gathering and disseminating examples and information on model tribal codes to address elder maltreatment.

Pilot Practice-based Research for Primary Care Suicide Prevention (R34 Clinical Trial Optional) Inactive
Grants for research to evaluate the effectiveness of existing suicide prevention practices and clinical trials that develop, optimize, and pilot test interventions and service delivery approaches. Projects focused on strategies to reduce health disparities are encouraged.

Delta Region Rural Health Workforce Training Program Inactive
Grant to establish strategic networks to support healthcare facilities in the Delta region with recruitment, training, certification, and placement of professionals in critical administrative support occupations, including medical coding and billing, insurance claims processing, health information management, clinical documentation, business operations for healthcare organizations, and supply chain and materials management.
