May 2, 2023 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBS) is accepting applications for the Delta Health Care Services (DHCS) grant program for fiscal year 2023. The purpose of the program is to address the unmet healthcare needs in the Delta Region through cooperation among health care professionals, institutions of higher education, research institutions, and economic development entities in the region. Applications are due by July 3, 2023.

Apr 4, 2023 - A new report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Economic Research Service found that personal and professional relationships were crucial to recruiting and retaining healthcare professionals in rural areas. The study examined 150 small rural towns with a population between 2,500-20,000 in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin.
