The Affordable Care Act State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) awards grants to states to assist them in providing support to health professions to repay educational debt. Eligible health care professionals will in turn agree to provide primary health services in federally-designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs).


Entities eligible to apply for this grant program include the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Palau, the Marshall Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
