The American Medical Association is offering grants to support physician-led projects designed to improve health outcomes at the community level. The program funds innovative, community-centered projects that address a broad range of health-related challenges faced by populations with limited access to care.
Goals and expected impact:
- Improve community health: Support physician-led solutions that address health challenges, particularly those faced by populations with limited access to care
- Encourage innovation: Promote creative, practical interventions designed and led by physicians
- Identify scalable ideas: Find promising approaches that could be expanded or replicated to benefit other communities
Issues addressed may include, but are not limited to:
- Food insecurity
- Caregiver support
- Maternal health
Principal investigators must be actively licensed physicians in the U.S. or its territories who apply on behalf of their organization.
Award amount: $50,000
Project period: 12 months
Estimated number of awards: 20
