Adult Treatment Court Program
Grants and technical assistance to enhance adult drug court operations and services. Courts should integrate evidence-based substance use treatment, mandatory drug testing, sanctions and incentives, offender management, and transitional services in judicially-supervised court settings with jurisdiction over offenders to reduce recidivism and substance use, prevent overdoses, and support long-term recovery.

Veterans Treatment Court Program
Funding for the implementation and enhancement of veterans treatment court (VTC) operations to connect justice-involved veterans to treatment for substance use disorders, mental health disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic brain injury.

Grain Bin Rescue Equipment and Training Contest
Awards for rural emergency first responders that include grain rescue tubes and hands-on rescue training.

Mary Kay Domestic Violence Shelter Grant Program
Grants to support domestic violence shelters. The Foundation will award a grant to at least one domestic violence shelter in every state that applies, and many grants have gone to rural areas.

Million Hearts Hypertension Control Challenge
Makes honorary awards to recognize clinicians, practices, and health systems that have made a significant impact on hypertension rates within their communities.

Otto Bremer Trust Community Responsive Fund
Grants to nonprofit organizations in North Dakota focused on the areas of food, shelter, healthcare clinics, disability services, and school-based mental health.

Rural Community Grant Fund
Grants to fund infrastructure improvement and development initiatives for housing projects; health, safety, and environmental programs; medical facilities; and educational programs in western North Dakota.

West Virginia Recruitment and Retention Community Project
Grants to eligible healthcare employers in rural West Virginia to provide loan repayment assistance to primary care health professionals who agree to practice in underserved areas.

Buell Foundation Grants
Grants for projects in Colorado in the areas of childhood education and development. Priority is given to rural communities in the state.

Helping Hands Grant Program
Grants to encourage medical students to participate in community service activities, particularly those focused on underserved populations; raise awareness of mental illness and the importance of early recognition of illness; and build an interest among medical students in psychiatry and working in underserved communities. Projects should focus on mental health and substance use disorder.
